Our Approach:Customer had a series of parts and wanted to interchange internal threads and external features. Our approach was to construct single cavity molds with hand loaded inserts to best balance the options. Our tool cost was 50% lower than our competition, who opted for family molds, but could not use interchangeable inserts for future design changes. Their design required new molds with each new option.
